Much has been written about the Makers duo, whether they’re poets, archaeologists, philosophers, children or even clowns. They say, “We’re detectives, we try to search for the sensible underneath the sensible, to find a poetic solution to reality”. After sharing the fruits of their excavations on stage, Oscar Gómez Mata and Juan Loriente have stepped out of the dark rooms to roam the land in the light of day. Makers has thus become Makers itinérants, the duo turning into walkers, gatherers or campers who every evening set up their trestles to exchange ideas on the place, the time and the life of the hosts who accommodate them.
On the path of this metaphysical and mischievous object, a lot of humanity, constant joy, buried truths and nonsense liberate speech and emotions. With Makers itinérants Gómez Mata and Loriente have dared to aim for universal love. Let’s follow them!
