Malgrés
Dance
The winner of the Premio 2020 prize is mischievous and creative when it comes to failure. After L’Albâtre, a work for a white body on a white square, Clara Delorme stages imperfections, deviations and errors for a resonant and dancing body on a green stage. Malgrés is a dance work for a duo with disturbing details: a pair of ears that are a little too big, immobile legs strewn across the floor, a moving eye… Imperceptible incongruities move dance and music into a delicately Dada dimension. While tools turn Christian Garcia-Gaucher into a multi-instrumentalist, the young artist associated with the Théâtre Sévelin 36 dances a gallery of metamorphoses. From human to animal, from play mat to pasture, Delorme awakens her audience to a delicious poetry of error.
