Lullaby for Scavengers
Theater
The third part of a series about loneliness and friendship, Lullaby for Scavengers traces a path for its hero through the hostile forest that is life. Kim Noble survived Kim Noble Will Die, and You're Not Alone, supported by a public hungry for provocation and surrealist comedy. He now ventures in the footsteps of Thoreau, without the exaltation of nature, without romanticism, with all the difficulties and obstacles of the human condition, armed only with typically British ingenuity. In Lullaby for Scavengers, it takes the form of a fox and a dead, yet loquacious squirrel, the reincarnation of his ex-lover and co-host of his previous plays. In a collage of film and live performance, the English artist reconstructs a dream life between human and animal – a life like a big puzzle, where any missing piece would be immediately reinvented, with existential absurdity as the main instruction.
