Panaviscope presents: Talking to Flowers
Music
The musical and visual project Panaviscope was created in 2018 by Geneva-based multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer Alex Duloz. After a first noteworthy EP in 2019, the artist released Like the Sun in 2020, an album that confirmed his considerable talent. Unable to promote it live because of the pandemic, Duloz kept his spirits up and promptly responded to La Bâtie’s call for musical projects by offering to revisit his album entirely, both in terms of sound and visuals, in a unique and ephemeral creation. Musically, Panaviscope distils light electronic pop, carried by ethereal keyboards tinged with rock, new wave and hip-hop influences. Duloz’s atypical, high-pitched voice brings a welcome hint of psychedelia that fits perfectly with his black and white visuals with their rippling botanical and oceanic touches. The freshness of Panaviscope’s music envelops you and if you enjoy drifting, you’ll also dance, with your feet firmly on the ground and your head in the stars. The lively June Milo will open on the stage of the Casino Théâtre with her catchy, at times scathing but always emotional pop-folk songs.
