Dance
The Gyre, the first production of young company Tumbleweed in 2017, became an international craze at its creation and has taken Angela Rabaglio and Micaël Florentz around the world. Some saw De Keersmaeker in the radical and precise nature of this first opus. Indeed, the duo focuses on rigour: she, a dancer and choreographer, and he, also a musician, came together around their shared need to apprehend the world in its physical, technical and artistic globality. The Gyre places dance within this quest and focuses on its origin, i.e., walking. From this apparently simple action, the duo extracts lines, invents a wave-like mechanism, and slides the movements of their bodies into a perpetual spin. A hypnotic centre of the cycle of time and space, The Gyre guides us towards delicate intoxication after a walk through the woods.
Outdoor walk & show, dress warmly if necessary, bring comfortable shoes. In case of rain, show cancelled and refunded.
