Sarah André is one of three members of Old Masters.
After the performances of Bande originale, presented by Old Masters at La Bâtie in 2021, she undertook the production of a graphic novel featuring the entire text of the play, including the characters created by the collective.
A year later she published her graphic novel under Ripopée, which has been publishing her drawings and texts under the name André André since 2013. On this occasion, she mounted an exhibition of the original drawings in an installation created together with Lucas Ferrero.

The three of us wrote a text that metaphorically tells the story of our collective.
We created costumes that quickly became our avatars. We created beings who live in a cave and tell of their difficulty in living in a society that is screwing itself up.
We developed a habitat, a language, a world for them.
After the performances we dismantled this world, but I loved these words and beings so much that I didn’t want to see them disappear.
I sought to fix this world in a book.
This graphic novel is also a declaration of my love for the Old Masters collective, with whom I have worked for seven years.
